In fact one part of the job's done and it looks terrific. I've replaced all of the brass door knobs through the place and am really happy with the result
I can't believe how such a small change can make such a huge difference. It just feels like the place has been transformed!
We've also changed over one of the ceiling rods
MONT was sceptical but is now a convert.
We could only get one from the lighting store to see how it looked so tried it out in the main bedroom. The rest are on order and should be in Friday...
The only things left to change are the brass door handles on the french doors in the dining room and study
They'll be done in the next few weeks.

That is exactly what I wanted to do...but Jason loves his brass and it would have to be over his dead body! I love the looks of the chrome in your place! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks brismod. I love it too! It goes with the chrome taps and towel rails in the bathrooms and white and silver knobs on the kitchen cupboards, so it all blends in now.
DeleteMONT loves his brass too, but I was paying for all this so he just went along with it in the end.
It looks really great - nice and fresh. I adore your ceiling rose too, how nice is that?
ReplyDeleteI have silver fittings in my art room but the rest of the place is brass. I suppose I'm naughty mixing it up but it works for me :)
