Cafe Blind

The Cafe Blind has been installed and it looks terrific.

What's that, you can't see it?

That's the whole idea.

This shot shows the bottom rail of the blind as I was winding it down

...and here it is in all it's glory.
Still a little difficult to see?
Excellent! That's exactly what I was hoping.

I couldn't be happier with it. Not only is it almost invisible, it makes the deck feel (almost) like a room.
It's an ingenious design. there are two long brackets on each post that each edge of the blind slide in to. That means it doesn't need to be secured with clips or ties at the bottom....and it doesn't flap around in the breeze as it's securely held in those brackets.

When we don't need it, we simply wind it up and you'd never know it was there.

Yep...very happy.

Thank you to all who sent kind wishes about MONT's dad....he was very touched.

  1. It looks fantastic, very inconspicuous and sleek. It's like a little sun room now :)

  2. I am so sorry to read about MONT's dad.
The blind looks great it is so neat and will make the space nicer to use all year round. xx

  3. Now that is very invisible. I will be interested to hear your feeback about it in a few months. It looks like it will be really handy. xx

  4. Just perfect! .... and you can still keep the view!

Sorry for your loss too. Life hurts doesn't it. A-M xx

  5. Thanks everyone. We really love it and it's made the back deck even more useable than it was, if that's possible.
A-M, yep, it does hurt sometimes.

I love to hear your thoughts.
