Not. My. Day.

Despite the heat in Melbourne today, I spent the afternoon in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for a delicious cake. I'll post the recipe tomorrow because, if I say so myself, it is a beauty!!!!

But the day didn't start well...

I had the fumbles and dropsies!.

...and things just kept ending up on the floor.

The cake though. Oh the cake...

It is a plum cake and it is one of the yummiest I've ever made.

The recipe to come tomorrow, after I've cleaned up my mess

  1. Mmm, looks delicious. Hope the evening has been better, though this Melbourne heat is very draining and distracting. Bring on the cool change! G

    1. Melissa, the cool change is just about to hit! or at least the rain is. Can't wait to be able to turn all the fans off and just feel and smell the rain.
Cooling Melbourne rain after a heatwave has to be one of the best smells in the universe!
The cake is seriously good! I mean SERIOUSLY!

    1. Jodi, it's absolutely delish! I thought it was going to be one of those recipes that you regret doing...you know, too many steps for little reward. I WAS WRONG!
Well worth the two dirty mixing bowls!
