I got home from shopping this morning to find MONT in the back yard...digging this.
He'd cut a hole in the sandstone paving to make way for new posts that will hold up the extension to the carport. That extension will eventually become a studio/sewing room.
I got a bit of a shock, I have to say....
We haven't even finished the back hallway modification and he's already started on this.
He says now is as good a time as any..
Me? Well, I usually like to get one project over and done with before I start on another, but hey, that's just me.

Hmm I don't know - I tend to move onto projects before I finish the last. That might be why my house has about 8 on at once, and nothing feels finished. Oh well, it must be exciting to look forward to a studio! xx

Anna, I know what you mean and I too absolutely love a "project", but at the moment I feel like I've been living in disarray in an unfinished house for about 8 years. I'm exaggerating of course, but I'd like to get the inside sorted so I can start fresh.
DeleteI'm the same I like to finish something fully and then move on but with all our renovations it seems that we get to a point where it is functional and then start on the next so we have lots of little bits to finish still, a bit of trim here, a touch of paint there etc, if I dwell on it I get rather distressed. xx
