Surprises

Don't you love it when you walk into the garden and out of the corner of your eye, you detect a small splash of colour. It wasn't there yesterday...or at least, you didn't notice it yesterday

But there it is. Just sitting there. Very, very pink.

Then, on closer inspection, you notice more. Purples and yellows...

Amongst a sea of green

Very yellow.

Just tucked into a corner

... and very pink. I forgot it was even hidden in there next to the lime tree. In fact I thought it had died long ago. Thank goodness I was wrong.

  3. They look like freesias to me....so beautifully perfumed....they fill the night air with their fragrance.

    The pink flower....
I know not what her name, but she is beautiful, just the same! (Now where did that come from? ....a sonnet maybe?)

  4. hmmm you've got me thinking now....I'll have to spend some time on that one

I think the pink one is a rununcula...and yes, fressia's are one of my all time favourites. They just keep popping up in the corner near the front fence, funny little things they are
